  • t-20 Tranny-Tranny parts

Ive got a early 80s Argo Frontier project that needs a T-20 tranny, Ive got the case and can assemble the tranny with new innerds or a complete tranny mite be the way to go? Any tips would be really helpfull.

Unless someone transplanted a T20 into the machine, you won't find a T20 in it. Are you sure it's not an Argo transmission?
Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

      (6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far

Yup Argo does not use a t-20. I think he better post a pic just in case it is a transplant, but most likely Argo parts are what is needed.

Sorry for the mix up guys, its not a T-20 its an argo tranny #10440, its been a minute since tooling on it and I seen a post and t-20 wrang a wrong bell whoopsie.
Any leads on a full rebuild of parts bearings/shafts etc. When I purchased it the engine had a rod hanging out of the block and the wheels where locked up. Removed engine and the trans still wouldnt free up, broke open the tranny the hard way and found sludge like it was exposed to water directly? and the bearings where shot. So if i can find some tranny inerds and a motor I should be good??

Post up some pictures, and a serial # if you can find it.
I'm no argo expert, but I believe 2006 was the first year for the frontier.
Someone on here should be able to tell you what you have.......or ditch the Argo trans and custom fit a T-20 in there....That would make one awesome machine.

Guys I was wondering if anyone has converted to hydraulic drive on a Argo?

It's been discussed before, and it would just not be cost effective to do a conversion like that.
