  • Argo Ice Breaker

Thought you might like to see a short video of just a little of the fun we had two weeks ago. Even though the ice at the edge is not that thick, it's pretty interesting how the weight is so well distributed that you can drive right up to that edge without breaking through ( check it out around the 9:30 -9:45 minute mark. Lot's of fun. Hope you enjoy looking at it. She's quite the machine!

By the way, if you'd like an aerial view of where this was taking place, you can check out the still shot ... taken by KAP ... here:

Spring is slowly arriving up here on this lake, but there is still lots of ice. Yesterday was the second last day of ice fishing and things were rather slow so I decided to put the kite up and take a few shots. From up above, an interesting looking face shape appears where the brook is eating away at the ice. The brook itself adds to the effect. Before leaving here, I took the Argo, an amphibious all terrain vehicle, into the water, breaking up a lot of the ice around the edges in the process ...this shape certainly didn't exist by the time I was finished. :-) Lots of fun! I'll add some of the video to my YouTube account one of these days

Well, if it's ice you want to play on, you're more than welcome to come up here next spring ... or winter. :-)

Awesome video Zircon.....sure looks like you are having a lot of fun....the pic is amazing as well....you have some great ground to play on there.....

However you can keep the snow and ice on your side of the island......ther has not been any snow or ice in the ponds here for a while now....I went trouting the last day of the season and had to use my rod.....There has hardly been enough snw on this side of the island (Whitbourne) this past 2 winters to ride a skidoo so that is why I got the argo....

Keep the videos and pics coming.....
Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.
