  • Conquest Roll Cage/Brush bar.

First, I want to thank the folks who have helped me the last couple days. I'm sure if I had not discovered the Cooling fan problem, I would have continues to drive the unit and causes damage to the beaking system. With your help I avoided that bullet, Thanks.

Now, I'm wanting to build a Roll Cage, brush guard. Does anyone have any specs or diagrams or pictures of a Roll Cage? I have a friend who can get me the steel, another friend who is a welder by trade and another friend with a pretty good machine shop. I just have to have some idea of what I want.

If you search the photo gallery you can find some really good examples....Rockdoctor has a good bush gaurd that you can see. I do believe that he also put some angle around his tub to help reinforce as well as support for the back rack that he has. There are also alot of other roll cages to look at...

Something you may want to keep in mind is that if you make it to heavy/high then it may/will have an effect on swimming and stability issues....
Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

Yes, indeed the very first 950 I owned had a basket built on top of a home built roll cage. The guy I bought it from told me that it was very unstable due to that, even without a load of duck decoys, which was the reason they built it. They didn't go in water deep enough to float it, after they almost flipped once. Seems they had gotten one side in a beaver run while the other was still in shallow stuff, and we all know what that can do. I bought it about the same time I bought a Max IV, opted to get the max going and sold the Hustler.

A year ago somone cheaply built one out of the racks for a contractor's truck they got at an industrial supply house... it may have been on a max. It was inexpensive, easy to make and turned out looking really cool!
