In my Argo Bigfoot, laid the pump on top of the drain plug on drivers side rear and run hose over the back. Switch is mounted up by me. I do a lot of mud runnin' and have the argo angled up on its rear a lot that pumps out water/ mud as needed. If fishing or tons of time on the water, better stick it up front on the low side!

Reviving this thread. Does anyone have photos of a bilge pump installed? I have a 1997 Response but would be interested to see an install in any Argo, including drain hose routing.
            Thanks!

In an Argo, I would install the bilge pump as far forward as possible as they sit nose down in water. they seem to be pretty well balanced side to side, and if memory serves me the LF corner would be the easiest access. just make sure to keep wires and drain line away from the primary clutch and exhaust

LF definitely more friendlier than RF! No doubt

Not sure about Response but my Frontier mounts off stud of front left inner bearing. Hopefully someone has pics . I have not installed one yet though been thinking about it.

On the inner bearing flange in the front left, one bolt is longer than the other three and that is the mounting location. It’s the inner most bearing on the front axle, it’s easy to see if you are looking in the right place. Good luck with the pump and most discharge hoses go out through the upper body just ahead of the exhaust screen and get it fairly high up so water can’t run in. Let us know how it you make out.

You can also install a check valve on the drain line if you are concerned about water running in.
