  • Argo adventure that saved $1000/trip

Buddy of mine has a cabin (the only cabin) on a 3.5mile long, 2mile wide brook trout lake in Canada... We each bought argo's this last fall in hopes of prepping them to make the trip into this lake without paying the airfare ($250/man). He and his son, my son and myself left home last thurs night/fri am at 3am. We reached the "unloading site" at 11:30 am. 3.5hrs later we were at the cabin Took us just under 2hrs to get back out Monday afternoon. All boats, etc were there already so we just took food and our gear. We make this trip twice annually on average and had a blast, even more knowing that we could leave at any time, not relying on weather for planes to be able to fly and especially since we paid only gas to get to the unloading spot. I'm gonna try to post some pics but I bring the suck at picture posting. I WILL say though that my son and I caught a 21" brooktrout on a flyrod. We shared memories that will last a lifetime. Can't tell you how happy I was/am with the machines regarding this trip. My outboard motor bracket worked flawlessly (knock on wood) as we had to cross 2 small lakes plus 2+ miles of the lake the cabin is on. All my updates, maintenance paid off big time. Thanks to all for the help! I'll try to put pics in my gallery.

That is some nice fishing there......What a treat to have a machine that can take you paces like that.....
Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.
