  • My new adair tracks

Oh yes they arrived yesterday and I had them installed in about an hour. I had to remove 4 links to get the correct fit. Once I was done I headed to the swamp bottom and drove into the worst stuff I could find. My friend was not real happy with me because the snakes and gators where out in force. We tried our best but we could not stick the Argo. The swimming is a little diffrent and will take some getting use to but I love how it is able to climb out with ease.

      Couple things,
How do you talk your Swamper into getting out and hooking up the winch line in Croc/Snake infested water? Throw him in?

Could you take som close pics of the spacers between the Grousers on your tracks? Hard to see in these pics, but they look different than mine (new design?)

Enjoy your "new" machine, looks great.

Crowhater: Nice machine you have there, it will now be nearly unstoppable with the Adair tracks. Please post up some video showing the machine in action.

My argo Conquest is a 2000 model with the 20hp Kaw and has 60 hours on it. Rock, this is a new thing they are trying out and it puts the chain farther down the wheel. I also have the new style chain and each of the track links are pinned in place. As for the snakes and gators we just deal with them. Growing up around swamp lizards and snakes makes you kind of use to them. When I was in school we use to jump off the airboat and hand catch smaller gators to show off. Anything over 5' is asking for real trouble and you had better be able to hold your breath because once you get hold of them you cant let go no matter what. I hate snakes but they wont kill you, I have been bit and yes it does SUCK to get bit. To me getting hit by a stingray hurts much worse but that only last about a day.

I will take some better pictures of the tracks today and post them up tomorrow.

They look like the older version track to me.

Nice looking machine. It would be cool to see it in action. Sounds like some extreme wheelin territory.

I clicked on the picture of the older style Adair tracks and also the Adair tracks that crowhater recently bought, and his tracks look like the grousers are spaced closer together.

I dont know about all that. It is just back water swamp area off the river and creeks. I am not doing anything more special than anyone else with an Argo. This is the first time I have been able to go into these areas without getting stuck at the edge and having to winch back out.

That's sort of funny you should say that because the reason I bought my Argo with Adair tracks is there is a mud hole on my property that I could never make it through. I actually gave up trying because it would take hours to get out every time I tried. It was the first place I went when I got tracks from Tim. I was amazed. Not only could I go through it I could drive around in it.

A few weeks later I pulled the tracks and put on my AquaTorques. I figured the impassable mud hole was now conquered. Boy was I wrong! Right to the edge like you said and I was stuck. There are just some places a guy can only go with tracks, Adair tracks, all others need not apply.

                        Keith.

I am uploading video right now and the pictures you guys requested but while I am waiting I have a question. Now that I have my tracks on it seems I might be running a little rich because my exhaust has a strong fuel smell. How do I adjust the air/fuel ration on the 20hp Kaw?

Here is a video and some pictures. My wife has never driven my Argo but my kids know how to drive it. I know this mud hole looks tame but it is the closest to my house and it was getting late. I have been stuck in this hole at least 4 times with the factory run-a-mucks, and now we can just play in it with the adair tracks.

here are some pictures of the tracks up close.
