right propeller on Argo Avenger

Hi all from Italy!
I'm Luca and I have write here some time ago.
After the change of all bent axles I'm using the Argo every week in the Venice's Laguna! It definitely the best vehicle for the low deep water.
Now I have two problems left.
The first is that the Argo can't go straight, it turn right gently when run on road.
The second is the pitch of the propeller.
I have an old mercury 9.8 2 cycle that run sweet, changed piston rings and bearings, with a large propeller that was used on a sail boat.
My max speed on water with this outboad & propeller is only 6 km/h, something like 3.75 miles/hour.
I have read on this forum that some outboards with less hp, pulls an Argo like mine to the incredibly speed of 15 miles per hour! something like 24 km/h!!!
My Argo in water is very fast to archive the max speed but it's slow compared the other outboard equipped argo in this Forum...
Is the wrong pitch of the propeller??
What kind of pitch is right to run faster with a 9.8 hp outboard?

To cure the pulling problem you need to play with the air pressure in your tires (assuming you don't have a brake dragging). If it pulls to the right then you need to either add air to the right tires or take some out of the left. I would suggest buying a low pressure tire guage - 0 - 15 psi range. With that set all tires to the same pressure and start adjusting your tires from there. With some guess work you can adjust the air to get it to run straight. At first glance it looks like you are running a lot of air pressure in you tires - I'll guess 6-7 psi. I only run 3-4 psi in my tires.

I would say you are where you can expect to be on the speed in the water - 3.75 miles/hour is reasonalbe. I'd doubt that an argo could ever be pushed to 15 miles/hour in the water. But maybe I am wrong.

You want to be sure to use an outboard with a 20-25" long shaft on it. If you are using a standard length outboard your prop is not pulling you threw the water, you are just creating allot of turbulence behind the Argo. For the prop to pull you threw the water properly it needs to be below the hull of the Argo.
