noobie needs advise

I have never owned an argo, have ridden in them a few times. I live in Alaska and am considering one to use to access the back country for hunting. A woman at work has offered to sell me hers. It is a 2002 Response. What I need to know is is this enough machine to use tracks, pull a trailer, and accessorize to use for moose hunting Alaska. What kind of modifications, etc. can I do with this machine? It only has 32 original hours on the machine.

Jump on it! Check to make sure all the bearings are good. You can take it to an argo dealer if your in fairbanks or anchorage. I would bet it would be all you could want. How many HP? Only 36 hours is a steal!

The only bad news is taking time to learn to drive it (takes a bit skill and practice) If you want to focus on hunting and not drving it (my misake last year) change all fluids (yes, gas too!!) and lube everything. Try to put a 100 hours on it before september 1! Good luck!

Be sure to look over the whole machine with a fine tooth comb. every though its only got 36hrs ... it could be the hardest 36hrs of its life

enough machine?

hi! I am still considering buying a 2002 response.will be used to hunt moose in alaska. would like to use adair tracks. and build an aluminum top. pull a double walking axle type trailer,etc. only has 32 original hours on it. but to green to know if the 18 horse kawasaki is enough motor to get this done? not worried about going fast, by the way. what are your experienced opinions? thanks for your time.

We have a cheap 13 hp single in our max, it does great and has plenty of power. The only thing I've heard about Argo motors that's bad is when turning the motors seem to bog a bit but there's plenty with 18 hp motors so it oughta be fine.
