    TRACKS

    I cannot open the site either. My tires are 25by12 rawhide IIIs and it would be convenient if I could use them. All this tire talk inspired me to check the pressure for the first time: 15psi. Shame on me for not doing this right away. I took them down to 5psi.

      The 25" tires won't work with the adairs either. Check with Tim but I think 22" tires are the size of choice.

        You may want to drop them to 3 psi...Rawhide III's are stiff.
        The adair track kit for a bigfoot includes new tires/rims. I don't think you have the clearance with the 25" tires. Even though the 25x12 rawhideIII's really only measure about 24".

          Hello everyone...the Adair website seems to have picked up a bug last Monday, and late last week the techs were busy cleaning it up and getting it back online....it was flagged by google and might take a while to get it back to normal where it is easier to access through a general search...it is possible to access by just entering the address adairargosales.com but might take a few try's ....sorry

          As for the bigfoot, that's a great machine... before there were effective mud tracks available, I always preferred the 25" rawhide lll and would run it almost completely flat...big difference in off road performance over really loose or soft areas and much better that the standard 22" runamuk tire

          As for tires...a cheap option for tracks is a tire that will use your factory 9x10 rims and save that extra cost....it is a 22x10x9 4snow (or snow mad) tire made by kenda...and they are available online for about $57 a piece from cedar rapids tire...then you can run the track of your choice

          Best wishes to all of you

          Tim

            Well, I made another run on Sunday out to within 20 ft of the pond and only got stuck once, turned around on a high spot and made it all the way back. I think this is progress.
            The last 20 ft or so the tufts and the clods of dirt they are on float loosly. I can stand on them and bob around. My thought is to drag out two 20 ft cedars (not easy) and place treated decking across them to form a ramp and also something to winch againsed. I am afraid to venture the last 20 ft without this. Should I be?
            Tim, I could only find the snow mad in a 22by10by8. The Adair site has a bigfoot track package with rims and runamuk tires for $2600. I am fighting the desire to buy tracks but I may loose this battle. I am so close to my objective as it is. Will the tracks be so very much better? Will I then not need a ramp?

              With Adair tracks you will wonder why you even bother with trying to run tires alone in muddy conditions. Every time I take my tracks off to try a different tire I only end up putting the tracks back on and wondering why i wasted the time.

                unless tim says other wise GET THE ADIARS and run Duro sand/mud tires. They are a good soft tire, and not overly expenive.

                  Hi rz14rt....sorry I missed your comment...didn't mean to ignore your question...I looked on cedar rapids tire and had trouble finding the 22x10x9 also...had to look for the brand and then the model and then found it...here is a link that I hope will help you find it..

                  SNOW MAD K584 :: KENDA :: ATV TIRES :: TIRES ::...

                  There are several low cost tires that will work with tracks, but not a lot that match up well with the 9x10 rims that you already have. The Adair track big foot kit uses new rims and tires and would be a little more expensive than just replacing your tires and mounting the tracks of your choice.

                  To answer your question...yes tracks can help a lot over just about any tire setup...they are not magic, but they will suprise you, and will make crossing that tuff spot much easier on both you and your machine and a ramp should not be necessary

                  take care
