    Hi there,

had a chap locally make me a waterproof canvas cover, which is UV resistant (we have loads of sunshine here in SA) but also fits very snug / tight (almost a stretch fit) to be super streamline when on the highways - no movement in the wind. Its got a strap running on the edge to pull it nice and tight around the tub. It has reinforcement patches on all the sharp edges and exhaust and as a soft inner lining to protect the camo finish of the avenger. Payed around for it and was made and fitted in 2 days. The chap that made it specializes in boat covers mainly and was therefor able to manufacture it for me.

In picture however, the edge strap not pulled very tightly and thius cover isn't stretched as it suppose to be.. will take a pic again behind the vehicle when I've got it stretched a bit. Fits like a glove

Was custom made for $300 dollars and that was in 2006. May be a little more but well worth it. The cover is tough as nails.

[QUOTE=lewis;126248]Here are a few pics of the cover and it's construction. Used it also at the outer banks during a very bad storm and no sand got into the machine.

Nice! Can I ask how much that cost to have made?

Thanks, I was wondering about that. The car covers I've looked at...I wasn't sure if the cheapo ones were good enough...they say "Water Resistant"...probably just meant to keep off dust and sap...
There are covers made for sidexsides as well, good length and width, but way higher than required, so the puddling problem that you mention would be in effect.
Do you have the name of the seller you bought from on eBay by any chance?

I load mine backwards too.. I am eventually going to get a good cover to keep the elements off it when I head out for a ride.

Yeah...that makes sense, doesn't it? A little harder to back onto a trailer than off, but...thanks! I'll remember that!

Just another little tip: if you have a windshield tie it down separately to keep it from flying back and making a mess and it keeps the hood from flying off also. You may know this already but i thought i would just mention it.

Plus you have a ratchet strap, which is awesome.

Thanks, Lewis! The previous owner warned me about the windshield, having lost one on the road already.
I have called a couple of custom tarp shops that do work for our drilling company, and they can certainly do anything I want...for a price. In Canada, custom ANYTHING is an arm and a leg. And I'm cheap.
