Hey I've noticed 3 different types of hubs on my Attex's. Any idea what's the reason for the differences? The first hub is from my early 300ST\D, the middle one is from my 252 Colt. The last one I don't know where it came from and it looks like it's never been used. Any clue as to the different designs and why? I like the welded on adapters on the last one, but why the fancy bell housing on the end?

The fancy bellhousung located real nice in the I.D. of the hub on the old floatation tires.

That's what I sort of figured but then why change it for the Colt? That still had the old flotation tires on it.
But the back part of the hub was a smaller diameter. I was wondering if it was a small way of keeping the tire or rim
from moving around to much. I'm trying to think if a one piece hub\axle makes more sense than what is on there now.
It would cost more to machine and it would be a bitch if it broke, but it would eliminate some parts to maybe simplifiy things.
