  • HELP NEEDED Attex 208TT headlight replacement

I have been i the process of replacing the headlights of my 6 wheeler and getting them out was OK, getting them back in is another story

as the rubber is quite old and hard I boiled them which works good to the the material flexible although getting them into the shell

    Ouch

You're on the right track! Do the whole operation quickly while the rubber is still soft. A little Vaseline or WD-40 helps.....

Do we put the rubber grommets in the body and then put the lamps in,or put the grommets on the lamps and install as an assy.?

When I did it on my 300d.i put the grommets in first. It is easier to have someone in the machine and someone pushing the lights in from the outside so that you can hold the grommets in place so they don't push through into the tub. I also used dish soap instead of a petroleum product because they were old and I was afraid they would break down over time. The soap dries and all that is left is the rubber.
