Can anyone tell me about it? I think axels are bent and bearings are shot. Where can I find parts and what do I tell them it is?

Scrape away some of the gunk over the right rear axel. You should find a serial number with the year, and sometime one the front sides of the upper body under the bad black paint job you might be able to see a faint imprint of the original stickers. Give it time, others on here that know waaaaaaaayyyyy more than me will chime in. I.m saying with the older baker hill tranny (is that what i.m seeing in pic #2?) its an older gen 1 208tt. Just guessing, never had an earlier model. Good luck, and stick around. You will learn lots and sooner or later own 5 machines.... trust me.

Yes I was told that is the baker hill tranny. Thanks so much for the reply. I know I will need axels and bearings but will other attex machines have the same parts? I was told from Richard relics if its a 69 attex im up the creek and cant get anything

Where would the model be on one of these? Its all painted over. As far as the axle. Would that still have the year even if it was replaced

Came back to edit my earlier post. The 208 didn't have a 'c' channel frame like the newer model attex's so there goes my serial number idea. I.m guessing it has a frame made of flat stock. Do a search for buffalo bearings on this site, never used them but the come highly recommended. I.ll let jp chime in about Richards Relics. I know there is a baker hill expert on here, but can.t remember who right now.... Search and read, search and read, search and read.

I have a bent axle so im really concerned about machine shop prices. Richard like yelled at me and said you have a 69 208 tt and you will never get parts. Make good friends with your machine shop. I just don't believe its this crazy and I have the one model you cant get parts for..anyone near mn want to check it out in person?

I bought bearings for my 208tt from the big bearing store,nothing really special about them that I can remember,a couple of my 208 axles were welded by the previous owner.my attex is the same as yours but the body is so shot that I just use it as a trailer and I put the baker hill trans in the garage,I was even able to get new bearings for the baker hill trans at the big bearing store,sure the bearings are made in china but I have to live with in my means.Good luck!

Don't listen to Richard Clark. He's absolutely wrong and you should completely disregard what he told you about finding parts. Also, never deal with him because if he has the parts you need, he'll charge you way, way too much and many of the other parts are inferior quality, and on top of all that the shipping and "handling" charges are extremely high. There are quite a few members here on 6X6World that can help you locate the correct parts for a first generation Attex. Post an ad here on the classified section and you'll find what you need.

After I tore mine apart and got part numbers, I picked most of my stuff up on ebay. Also, if there is something specific to Attex that you need just post it. Everyone on this site will help. Great bunch of people.

Another site member was recently taken in by Richard's "misinformation" and paid $1445 for one of his rebuilt t-20's. I tried to stop him, but wasn't fast enough. There is a reason Richard wont list his prices on the web or by email......it's used car salesman tactics! Rebuilt t-20's can be bought from several site members here at less than half the price price he paid, but the cheapest solution is always to rebuild it yourself.
Many parts for the older machines are no longer available, but there is always a way around that. Machine shops can make custom axles, or machines can be upgraded to more modern parts etc. Even the plastic bodies can be repaired. On the other hand, it is easy to sink more money into an older machine than what you could spend on one in good working order. It's best to add up all the parts you need before you start buying them....and of course, sourcing less expensive or used parts always helps.
