If the 208TT is still stock, it will have an ATV6000 transmission (no reverse) and a Briggs 8 horsepower single. It really depends on the condition as to whether or not it's worth the money. I'd pay $950 for a 208 in good shape.

I think they made the 208TT in 1969 and 1970 and they were ABS plastic. It really depends on how the machine was stored as to how strong the body will be. I've seen them after being left out in the sun a few years become very brittle and unusable, but some that have been out of the elements that are fine. I've got a 1968 model 297 body that's in very good shape, but it was stored in a shed for most of it's life.

            Hello James,
I have a 208tt. You can look for pictures in the attex gallery of mine but my hood isnt stock. It is a supose to be wire mash. I have it but my non stock engine sits too high so I am using my 225's for now. I have also seen 2 differant exhaust styles with the 208tt and not sure when they changed it but there is my style with the exhaust in the rear and there is another with the exhaust coming out the hood like in the 1970 brochures picture, also seen in the gallery, with my other attex 225/H and the st300. Curious if anybody knows about the exhaust change?
The 6000 trans is bullet proof and if it was swapped out for the 7000 for the reverse it is simple to work on if problems accure. Not sure what yours is priced at but I bought mine for $200 without the motor but did come with another attex motor not installed. I had to replace all chains and the seat upholstery was crap and all inner bearings and few outer. So basically needed alot of work, lol. Hope I helped some.
