  • what ATTEX model and where is vin?

Just bought an ATTEX 1978 and am looking to find out what model and where is the vin number located? it is green in color and the engine is a Chaparral G50B 484cc. Any ideas? Thanks all.

Sounds like you have a Superchief! Good for you!

Look for the VIN on top of the frame, just between the right (driver's right) rear axle and right center axle.

I've heard between 40 and 50 hp for the G50B. I got close to 50 mph. in mine. They were supposed to have been the fastest production model of all the AATVs made. They have a strong following on this site. When we race in Ashtabula, there are probably more Attexes on the track than any other make....definitely in the 2-stroke races.

I've heard and agree with "too fast without a rollbar" as the pucker factor is there once you get up top.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
          Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

It has a rollbar. Looks like a decent job. I will post some pics when I get a chance. This thing is quit a bit faster then my Cushman Trackster and my IMP Kadoo.
