My Attex has been hard turning right for the last two runs in the yard and finally got a little time to try and fugure it out. The weld on the right front sprocket broke, so it was a 5x6 .

Easy fix, these machine are allot of fun.

    Is this under warranty??

You know, for as little wear as it shows (for a 45 year old sprocket) it SHOULD be under warranty. I've broken a few sprocket tubes over the years on the Attexes, and it seems like most of the time it's a nice, clean shear like yours shows. On two occasions, I sheared a primary sprocket (first the left, then the right) on the Attex 8x8. JP towed me up a hill out of the creek with his Max II each time. When the primary goes, she doesn't "turn hard", she don't turn.

You can add a gusset or two between the tube and the sprocket to help with the problem. It usually helps out a lot. Something along these lines. This is what happens when 'Race doesn't want things to break any longer.

WOW that is mega beefy Mike.

I will keep that in mind.

Mine looks like just a lack of penatration on the tube. I will refrain myself from any dirty jokes that are coming to mind at the moment.
