Hey Whipper, after seeing all of this springer footage I think we need to see a rebirth of the 1970 Baja 500 "Category X" 6 wheel baja racers. I bet your springers with those high horsepower Briggs engines would do great! If an old first generation Attex with a 297 JLO single could do it, it would be no sweat for your rigs.

I made up a prototype tubular a-arm today out of mild steel,I would like to make up a lower also to use for fitment. I'm still working on the bearing carrier design,but I think I'm close there. I'll post some pics after i get everything mocked up.
The final version will use chrome moly tubing for the arms and axles. Wheel flanges and cv flanges are 4142.
Fortunately I have been reading your posts and watching yours evolve,which has helped me make some decisions,that and 36 years in tool and die and design.
I do wish I had some of your back ground with 6x6's and buggies.

Hi Whipper,

We built vw trikes for 15 years, so I have been using a VW cv and bearings as part of my mockup. I have several here, they are plentyful, but a little bulky. I would like to find something more compact, lighter in weight,but capable of holding 50 to 60 hp. May I have your thoughts?
