how do i get the ecentric collar to tighten to the axle, i turned it as much as i could, but then the bearing just starts to turn. do i just go as far as i can and tighten the setscrew? doesn't seem like that would be enough keep them tight to the axle.

    bearing collar

Hello racerone, here is what a usually do with my argo's bearing.. I try to put a little pressure on the axle to prevent the bearing from spinning. during that i put the excetric cup on the bearing and punch it with a screw driver as far as i can. My job hold on since this winter... Try it and let me know how it goes...

Check out the Max axle and bearing replacement article in the how-to section: Axle and Bearing Replacement How-To

It's got a couple of pictures that should help. You push the collar tight against the bearing and then turn it by using a punch until it locks.
