fuel tank (can you change from metal to plastic)

Was wandering if I can change my st400 metal fuel tank can be replaced to a thunderchief plastic tank. Just like the plastic tank better

Thanks joemeg My rivets on the top of the metal tank strap broke and is a pita to get at and i have a extra plastic tank laying I prefer to use. Wow joe that's a colorful build. My sons is going to be orange attex top black hammered bottom. Sometimes you have to put that personal touch on it. SWEET
