I want to install some skid plates on the bottom. I would rather not use nut an bolts. anyone have any idaes how to seal the skid plates in place on the bottom ? thanks.. after i do that then I will be doing the rhino lining you use in the back of truck bed for a great seal coat and lining of the bottom overall.

I used waterproof rivets. You can get them from Recreatives for 10-15 cents a piece, I think. They're steel rivets, and are uber-strong. You can always drill them out if you ever needed to replace the plate.

::Edit:: and to add to Evil's comment below, I don't think Rhino Liner is really the best-suited material for the application of skid-plates. Not much "skid" there. I understand that you want to add to the water-proof-ness of the skid plate, but why not do it with marine grade silicone? What material did you settle on for the skid plates themselves?

If you rhino line the skid plate it will be rough and you won't be able to slide over obstacles very well.Comment

The plan was rhino lining the whole outside of the lower half of the Attex body to help with the stress fractures cracks and sealing it overall. Hubby wants skid plates on the bottom.. I have to say reasoning I am not sure why.I think to just help prevent more stress....not that we intend to do any rough with it. we have sheet metal for our skid plate materila. the real stuff that you see semi-trailers made out of..hubby is a 18 wheel driver.. thanks.Comment
