  • Does anyone know the size of brake pucks? 1970 attex

I dont know the size of the little round brake pucks that are missing from my 1970 attex. The ones that were in it were the original ones and they were not whole and crumbling so when I took them out they just fell apart. Those brakes are the whole reason my transmission has not been working properly. Also where can I find them or what can I make them out of etc. Thank you!

New pucks are 5/16" thick and just under 1 1/4" in diameter. I've made my own from various materials with varied success. The best ones I have found are from Richard's Relics. They're not cheap, but they last longer and grip better than any stock material I have found.

OK thank you. Can you throw at me some materials? I have a bunch of stuff in my garage. I think I'll mess around and experiment with a couple different materials before I buy some.

This is the stuff I liked the best as far as friction material. It still didn't seem to work as well as the stuff from RC.
