  • How does a Attex float?

Sorry for such a dumb question but im new to this. Just bought my first one not to long ago and need to get new tires and was wondering if thats how it floats. I have seen ballon tires and then regular paddle tires does this make any difference?

The machine also relies on the tub for buoyancy. Check the tub for cracks. Make sure the bearing flanges have good seals and that the bearings are in good shape too. You can go in the water with small cracks and bad seals but you can't stay in indefinitely.

You need tires with some sort of paddle for propulsion in the water. Also, as you face the front of the machine, the chevrons should be pointed up. Not having the right tires on will make the machine useless in the water.

George gave you a good answer. The lower body or tub is a displacement hull. The buoyancy is related to the displacement of water. If the weight of the water displaced is greater than the weight of the object in the water the object will float. Freshwater weights 62.4 pounds per cubic foot.
