Engine upgrade

Just got a Attex 400 chief. It has the JLO 399 engine in it that isn't running. My son has decided to upgrade to a Briggs Vanguard. Will we need a new clutch on the engine or will the clutch on the jlo work with the new engine?

you will need a new clutch jlo is a tapered shaft and the briggs is a straight shaft
