  • Need help on CVT shimming.

I recently done a swap from my baker hill 6000 to the 7000. The 6000 moved faster than the 7000. Noticed that the same belt doesn't get as deep on the 7000 secondary.

    Can I swap my secondary?

    or

Is there a way to shim the 7000 secondary?

    Thank you

if the belt size is the same and the sheave width and diameter s the same it may be the spring tension on the secondary or flyweights on the primary that need correction. probably easiest to change the flyweights on the primary assuming its a 780

would changing the flyweights make the belt clamp the belt higher on the pulley?

Please show a picture of both convertors preferably with the belt on and off convertors, static.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
        Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

depends if the belt is the correct width.
