  • 2-Stroke Muffler Routing

I have what I believe to be a 1974 Wild Wolf. The body is not fiberglass; I thought it to be ABS until I saw another thread saying HDPE. Nevertheless, the beast is engine-less. I have tabs on a Yamaha 340 snowmobile engine I may put in here (it runs, has electric start, and a clutch). My question is what have others done for mufflers on their Attex? I'm not sure the expansion chamber will route properly to fit in the Wolf (the through-body port has been fiberglassed over, though that can be removed). I could make something fit but believe two-strokes like to have their expansion chambers. Ideas?

Most of us try to do something like this. It necessitates cutting the engine cover, but it gets the exhaust out of the way and keeps most of the heat out of the engine compartment. [IMG][/IMG]
Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

    (6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far
