Axle bearings at reasonable cost

I have finally started the ressurection of my Wild Wolf! I am neck deep in the axle removal and bearing replacement stage, and have kept an eye on all of the threads recently that referred to the axle bearings, their cost, and the dealer.

I was able to locate the outer bearing assembly -Fafnir G52Msb Zp- at ifitrolls.com for only a few bucks a piece. Total price for 6 with shipping included was only $23.50 and they had 71 more in stock -We will have to see how they look when they get here. The website is very cumbersome, and to be honest I am a bit leery........

I was also quoted by locateballbearings.com for the same @ $4.34 each. Not a bad price in my opinion, but they did not offer online ordering which I prefer. I do feel better about this company, and have a solid contact name & number.

As for the inner bearing, I am still awaiting a few quotes on the Nice 6916B but so far locateballbearings.com has come in the cheapest @ $16.40 each assembly. I will place an order with them on Monday unless someone else has a better quote.

Has anyone dealt with these companies, or has anyone found any better deals recently? I've seen such a range of pricing for these parts, so I felt I had to "get to the bottom" of it.

I would like your thoughts / opinions / ideas ???

bearings..

nice bearings are no cheaper. is that with built on collar? or no? u better look...... let everyone know,,,

I'm not sure, I am keeping my fingers crossed! The part number is the same -which should designate the construction. If not, I can cut a snap ring groove in my new axles or make up some small OD collars. However, I realize that if I need to go to all of that trouble, I should have just "paid the man" for the proper units.
