  • Ouch!!!

This is what happens when the tow strap is connected to a down tree, then wrapped around axle, then hooked to hitch. This is why I should of put the rear corner protecters back on. The strap cut and wedged itself into this big honkin gap.

Good new, when I goop the crap out of it with abs repair goop, then put corner on like it should of been, it should be ok. Not a stress point or anything and cover will cover most of it up. Still makes me cry though.......

Ouch is right. At least all (or most) of it will get covered up.

Hey Larry, that looks like it would be easily fixable. I don't think it is in a bad spot either. Maybe you could talk to Hydromike about fixing ABS because I know that he did a lot of that on the 8x8 tank trainer. Plus, you don't have to make the repair look pretty since it looks like the corner protectors cover it. Keep us updated on the repairs. This site is here to help people and point them in the right direction for such things as this. Hope it works out for you.

OK, got it fixed. Im pretty darn happy again.

I plastic welded it back together. I added a chunk that was missing to fill in hole. Then I abs repaired it with the goop(acetone/abs chip mix). Turn out a lot better then I thought it would. THEN, after the damage was fix.....I put corner protecters back on Oh well, toyz are toyz

Great job. If I hadn't seen the before pictures it wouldn't have caught my eye.

Thanks for kind works, I appreciate it.

These corner protects are oem on first gen attex's. These here are off my 225/h. The original 208tt's are rusted out bad. I'm seriously thinking of doing a hydroMike skid plate though. He posted pictures in the gallery on it. Turned out awesome. You may want to consider that route as the protectors are hard to find. But maybe you will be lucky.

My brother is suppose to bring his cc252 over and I'll see if they look like they would work on his. If I rip his axle out I can set my rusty one on and make sure every thing lines up. I'm pretty sure they will work though.
