Well, getting established at the new house and garage, tried making some goop tonite. Used my rotozip to make some fine ABS shavings


Here is what it looked like after I added some acetone.

Where it sits outside now untill my shop gets expanded.

the new shop, my grandfather built this garage when he was in the WPA during the depression using old concrete forms.

Hey welcome back.

You don't necessarily have to have shaving. Especially once you have the goop made up. Just stick a chunk in there and it will dissolve.

How thick should it be? I put some bigger chunks in after that pic, how long does it take to dissolve?

It should dissolved over night. The thicker it is the longer it will take. Nothing wrong with the shavings, its just easier not to.

wow! i have read every last letter in your thread and i am amazed! you show so much initiative! i wont lie but an hour ago when i first saw your argos poor condition i thought you would just call it quits. if my machine was that rusted out i would not be able to repair it like you! i will follow this thread and i just wanted to say that im sure many people(non users) are reading all this and being inspired! i know i am!

Hi Can't believe I never noticed the thing, I've always loved unique vehicles, and that's quite unique for shure. Just flipped back and yup, there's a thing. Is that your thing? (OK, that may have come out wrong )

I just lowered that THING for a friend, took the front beam and put a bug beam on it, thing parts went on my Baja. The Attex been on hold, the garage never got finished but now that the weather is nicer working more outside. Hope to get back to work on it soon.
