Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

Ok... what a rush since the April Busco ride. Worked everyday on the machine to get her ready for the Ashtabula race and with a little help from my friends i was able to pull it off. I did not even get to sit in the machine with the motor running until Ashtabula. This was a troubling factor.
Had throttle and clutch problems up to the day it left for Ash. Ordered a new throttle cable the Thursday before i was to leave for the races. The cable i was using was a little to short and was holding the throttle open and the new one had not arrived yet. Thursday of my departure at around 13:00 hrs. The UPS truck pulls up and back to work i went. Installed new cable and fixed clutch. Finishing the belt guard was in process and finished best i could with no seat in the machine.
Picked up u-haul trailer to haul machine to Ash. I would not fit in the trailer with the tires.. tried to find some small 5 lug trailer tires and this proved to be a dead end. So........i made some wheels out of composite board
....they worked but were a &%$#@#$%^ to get the machine into and off the trailer. I am hoping no one got a picture of those on the machine but they probably did.
At the track we were installing and adjusting this, that and the other. Whipper and i drilled out the carb jets in the pit area to increase the performance. Still have a little work to do. Changed the clutch again......Whipper had a spare clutch which he volunteered , his machine used the one i removed at a later time in the weekend.
As i stated earlier i entered the machine into 3 races, she started all 3 and finished all 3.
I would like to thank all that had a hand into making the Carolina Orange Crush, i could not have made Ash without you guys. Here are a few pictures that George took of the machine while at the track.
Will post up video of the machines first lap around the track. Now if i can just learn to drive it
