  • Attex Tracks?

Does anyone know if 1971 and newer Attexes can run tracks on them without any wheel hub extenders and bearing cages? I know the muffler would have to be removed to clear the tracks and re-routed, and the tires would have to be 21s. Does anyone know what else would need to be done? Thanks.

    Attex Snow tracks,

Depends on what type of track you intend to run, the factory track was an Argo or Argo type of track that was run on 18.50x11x8 turf tamer. I have run this combo on Max IIs and have seen Attexs with the same. Extenders are neccessary on a max and would assume the same with Attex. Some of the factory literature that is on the web shows a Lil-truck set up with tracks.

Regarding bearing cages, they were not used by Attex. I am sure they help but I have never really been impressed by them. I have ran ice caked Argo tracks on Max IIs alot and have never snapped an axle with out them. In fact the Max I ran the most with tracks had hollow axles and never any problems. You may have to replace bearings more often but thats not such a big deal.
