    Hey Lance,

I won that auction. The price climbed a bit at the end but it was still fair. The only downside was some melted areas on the rear of the tub that were not evident at the time I placed the bid. The engine looks great though as well as the T-20.

I came across this 4 chain setup on Route6x6. The engine cover is not down, but I don't see any holes in the cover either. The engine may be tipped slightly.

Wow, it does actually fit! Thanks for finding that jerseybigfoot. After seeing this and hearing all of this useful information from everyone here I have decided that I will just use my current 4 chain frame and go ahead with the Briggs Vanguard conversion. I will be posting up pics as they become available. The project will begin around the beginning or middle of December. Hopefully, the machine will be ready for the spring time.

Calm down, Hmike. I think what the author was trying to get across was that the machine was now useful to him. If you hand a hammer to a chimp, he's going to hit things with it, but if you hand that same chimp a protractor, he's going to hit things with it.

CALM DOWN MIKE. "We feel your pain." Yes, you have a wonderful collection ideally suited for you, as I have mine. That other site just doesn't understand.
To be honest I did not even notice the caption.

Perhaps it's the context. For example, "My Lamborghini Countach is not as useful as your wheel barrel, but it is much more fun!"

Haha, oh jeeze. Anyways, at the Humphrey, NY ride I spoke with Matt Oxender and he told me how he did his 4 stroke conversion in his 4 chain Attex by angling the motor back just a couple degrees so it didnt hit on the engine cover. After seeing Matt's custom built hydrostatic drive 8x8 amphib I can see that he can really build AATV's. Again, thanks to everyone who has given me imput on this project. You have all been very helpful. I am yanking the frame this week and will start fabrication some mounts for the Briggs sometime soon.
