I have a 1968 st300D and I was wondering how the gas tank is held in place? Mine had 2 straps like the 2nd. Gens. do. 1 side is pop riveted to the dash the other side was pop riveted to a piece of 1x1 angle iron that just lays in the front of the machine. Across the shelf that the 2 body halves make under the headlights! I was wondering if this is right or if someone rigged it? THANKS Brian; Any info would be Helpful! Thanks again!
