22x11-8 on an Attex Wild Wolf?

Did all Attex's have basically the same body and chassis? Was it just primarily the engine that made the different model types? I guess what I really want to know is, will the 22x11-8 size cheng shin

There was 2 dimensionally different bodys. The baker hill ones and the t20 ones. Your tires should fit ok but if you are running a 7" wide rim then it will make the tires a little taller and speed makes a difference to. Faster speed make the tires taller.

Thanks for the reply Larry! I've seen that post with Hydromike's comments before which kind of lead me to wanting to use them. I really wanted to use those carlisle at101's or a similar tire of that nature, but price and availibility made me lean towards other options. I found those lumber jacks, which I guess are a chevron type, at bikebandit.com for $42.00 each. All six came to like $254.00 with free shipping, so I thought that would be a great deal. Everything is starting to come together with this project, can't wait to get it all together.

i've got these on my wild wolf AG BAR LUG R1 HF255 :: AG BAR LUG R1 :: BAR LUG R1 :: DURO :: BAR LUG & TRENCHER TIRES :: TIRES :: Cedar Rapids Tire and parked side by side with jerseybigfoot's attex i couldn't really see and difference between them and the AT101's that he had. i have them mounted on 7" rims and i think i could have gotten 22's under it

What was the size of the maxxis tires you had? I remember seeing the rub marks on your body at ash, was that from a faulty bearing? or did they swell that big at speed? I know those are soft tires and assumed they grew at speed.

Did the 7" wheels come stock with the wild wolf? In the picture of hydromike's racer it looks like there is plenty of clearence assuming he has 22x11-8 and similar wheels. I guess I will have to find out from him.

22's will fit on an Attex. Don has 22x11x8 Goodyear Rawhide III's on his Superchief, George has the same tires on his Lil' Truck, and I am also running the same tires on my Superchief trail machine.

I cant say for sure but Im under the assumtion that the 7" where more of a golf cart rim or generic rim you can get at tsc or what ever.

Allright, here's where I'm at. Got the lumber jack tires in and started to put the tires on the rims. Everything was going ok until I tried to set the bead. I just can't do it. I tried sitting on the tire, bouncing, ratchet straps, everything except using the lighter fluid way or stretching them yet. I tried two different tires on the same rim. I measured the rim and it is 8.5" width by 8" rim. Is the half inch width keeping me from setting the bead? Tried to find an 8" x 8" steel rim but couldn't find any with a 5 bolt pattern. Found a 5 bolt 7" width by 8"rim, will this rim let me set the bead better? The tires that are coming off of are 20x12-8 tire. Is the 8.5" width wheel to wide to set the bead for a 22x11-8?

You can probably get them mounted by the two means you havn't tried yet. I prefer a narrower wheel so the sidewall bulges out past the steel, otherwise the wheels hit things more often. Argo uses a 7" wide, and max is ? 7.5 or 8?

it takes a few days to get them ready, but the method jerseybigfoot posted pics about works well (see attached pic). if you don't want to wait that long, then starting fluid is your best bet

I like the narrow rims mainly because they're the cheap ones I found. But added bonus, harder to accidentally break the beads out on the trail and increased tire height.

I just thought I would post an update. Decided to go with new wheels. Wanted to post the before and after pics. No fitment problems and I am happy with the results. Still have a bunch to do with the wild wolf though.
