  • attex parts?

I was talking to some friends and was offered a 1970s attex. Well i looked at it and the machine is thrashed.(a guy ramped it and broke and axle off plus its been parked in the woods for a few years) it has a t 20 trans in it from what i can tell. are those the same as a max's? also any other interchangable parts? i'm just looking at free parts for my max II is all.

If it is free take it! The T-20 is worth several hundred dollars. If there are parts that are good you can scrape it out. How is the body? Top good bottom busted? The t-20 is the only interchangeable part for the Max that i know of. There are two types of the t-20 transmission: one has channel rails and the other has flat steel for the controls on the plungers. The flat steel actuators are the more desirable. Good luck. Others may know more on this subject. Hope this helps.

Note: Never turn down a free T-20.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"
