Finally got the parts back from powdercoater today. Frame & huns turned out great. The thrash will begin Friday morning. Hopefully there will be a ring-a-ding-a-ding of a screaming Chap Friday afternoon.

Cool, McCoy; Another Superchief-based racer in the pack. Before you know it, we'll have to run heat races on Saturday to qualify for the feature! It will be a shame to see everybody without an Attex "just watching" on Sunday
Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.
(6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far
Lit the Fire! The G50B Lives! We went from a bare frame to rolling chassis & running engine in one day. We had some issues with getting the axles through the sprocket tubes that held us up the better part of the day, but we finally got it running. I still have a long way to go, but it's leaps and bounds further than it was. Many Thanks to racerone3 and lewis for all of the work that they put in.

Ok, here is a short video of yesterdays activities at McCoy's Attex build, start to finish. Put it to a little music.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"
after fighting with sprocket tubes for the better part of the day, we finally got the last one done around 5. ran all the chain, aligned and locked the axles down. then put in engine, wiring, fuel line.... i think it was about 7:30 when we cranked it up. running it up on stands we worked the c-channels on the t-20 with a prybar to make sure everything is doing what it should. we had a boogered up thread on one of the control rods for the laterals (of course one of the left hand thread nuts) so that kept us from hooking up the laterals and bolting down the seat. McCoy still has a lot of detail work to do, but it should be pretty close to terrorizing Frog Level NC very soon
I finally got back to work on the Attex yesterday. After checking the starter & seeing that it was no good, I removed the entire wiring harness, lights and all and just ran 2 wires for the kill switch. I then got the fuel system plumbed and painted the rollcage & pipe. Today, Charley & I bolted on the rollcage & pipe and lit a fire to the Chaparral. About a minute and a half into the first ride, the chain was off of the t-20 and a hub slid in on the right rear. With the help of some zip-ties, we made it back to the shop for repairs. Took it back out again & tore the yard all to pieces. Still have some tuning issues with the
G50B, but at least it moves under it's own power now.
