  • sticks don't work for poo

I finally got my attex running today, ran around at work (Loving it) but the sticks didn't wanna work right... The left one BARELY worked and the right one did ok but it's definately not right... Where would i start to troubleshoot this.... Also, i found that i have a 1977 arctic cat 440 engine, I searched online and still cant find a starter for it... Does anyone know if they made starters for these? There is a hole there for one it's just plated... Thanks for any info..

I'm not familiar with you'r machine, but I'll try to help. I know that many engine manufacturer's make interchangable parts. You may have an engine with a place for a starter, but there was never a design for a starter on that model. It's possible that the same tin's, and covers for the motor were used on a different model witha starter!

Your problem with the transmission could be a number of things. The most likely and easiest to fix is that it's out of adjustment, or has been misadjusted. There's some good information in the transmission section of the board.

If you pull the plate that's covering the starter mount on your engine, you should be able to see a ring gear. If there's no gear, it will be a little more difficult to change your engine over to electric start.
