what can you tell me about it such as year and model011.jpg009.jpg008.jpg

either Chief or super chief... G50b engine would make it superchief, but it looks like the headlights are held in with the chief style chrome healight bezels (painted black)

it's a poly body (1976 or later), great engine, won't swill a bit with those tires

Looks like a Superchief to me. Maybe the rubber headlight grommets are in backwards? Nice machine- great find!
Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

      (6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far

That's an Attex Superchief. It looks very clean and original too. That's the fastest production AATV. If you can get a good deal on this, pick it up ASAP! This is a poly body (you can tell by the raised stripe molded into the side of the body. If you take a look around the lower right rear of the machine, on the top of the frame rail you'll see a couple different numbers and letters and then a space with two larger font numbers. These two numbers will be the year of the machine. I love green poly body Superchiefs myself......I have one that is converted to a big V-twin 4 stroke actually. But like I said, pick it up and you'll be VERY pleased with it. Let us know how you do.

Thanks for the info.I already told him I would take it. It needs one chain replaced he has the new replacement and it comes with a set of trax for 1500. This will be my first one. He bought it from a farmer that had it stored a long time in a barn

Wow, looks to be in great shape. It's hard to find anything that old that hasn't been abused. Wanna trade for a maxII?

That is one VERY clean, nice-looking Attex!!! Great find at that price! You can keep it and you'll love it, or you could turn right around and sell it "as is" for a nice profit - if you were so inclined. They are great machines and scary fast! If you keep it take it easy at first and resist temptation until you s-l-o-w-l-y master the machine. The speed is fun & addictive, but be careful!! If you have kids (or even if you don't) and intend to keep it then start looking for a factory roll cage, or get one made for it. And install some seat belts, too. These buggers can be a handful at speed.

                Good luck and have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since I guess it is a classic and I'm not a collector I will probably trade it I kind of like the 4 seater. The guy said it scard him speed wise he had the carb rebuilt but said the float was still sticking and battery acid got on one chain which he has a new chain juct not the tool to remove it it had trax on it when he bought it he took them off so he did not dig his yard. He said the farmer he got it from said the thing will do 50 MPH I think I read that model will do 35 but that low to the ground may feel like 90 mph

                    Hi:
Nope, the Superchief will do about 50. My Wolf is about 35 and THAT feels like 60. Don's Superchief was scary (though I didn't get it anywhere close to top speed) and thats why I bought one. I'd make you an offer but one's enough for me right now.
Wow, did I REALLY say that?

The motor is a 484cc Chaparral G50B......good engine, lots of power! Paint doesn't stick very well to the HDPE plastic that the Attexes are made of, so a little bit of pressure washing and you can have it looking nice and original again. Take a look at how nice John did his:

I noticed that the Super Chiefs in members photos have the exhaust coming out the side the one I'm getting comes out the rear

Do you mean it comes out through the engine cover facing the rear? If that's the case, this was the factory installed option of rerouted exhaust so the machine could run tracks. The side exit exhaust wouldn't provide enough clearance for chains.
