Thats just wierdness to have the muffler mounted so it blocks the cooling fan air. I wonder if it is that way because the original owner wanted to run tracks. You can't run tracks with the standard factory muffler because its in the way. Are you thinking about changing it?

You are right with the exhaust like that because of tracks. They came like that with the factory track option.

the tub was never cut for the side exhaust so it must have been pre ordered and not retro fitted by the dealer no I'm not going to change anything on it except to remove the paint so the yellow top and green bottom see the light of day again. the tracks that i got with the machine say Argo they are plastic does anyone know if Attex made their own tracks or did the use Argo made ones? over all I got lucky on the buy the thing runs great the bearing change showed me nothing was rusted up as the axle slid out of the sleeves and all the bolts were free the only cuts was to the bottom race it was stuck to the axle i feel it was a well spent 1500 for the Super Chief with tracks i have spent just a couple hundred on a new carb fuel pump and bearings and now runs great.
