  • Attex throttle set-up

Hi everyone, got a couple of questions for Attex folks.
For the lever are we using a std mountian bike brake lever?
For the housing,Teflon lined bike BRAKE cable housing avail in bulk?
For the core,a tandem mountain bike rear brake cable?
    Thanks,

    Joe.

Joe, I was looking at the lever on my Attex and it sure looks like a stock Seadoo thumb lever. I have several Seadoo's and have never noticed the similarity before because I switched all the Seadoo's to finger levers (works better than a thumb lever on watercraft). My guess is Attex used snowmobile (probably from a skidoo) thumb levers reversed as finger levers. If you look at a stock Attex lever you will see a hole on the side facing the driver. The hole is were my seadoo's have the start button. Most likely you can use what ever lever you like as long as it will provide you with the required cable pull for your carb. Not sure if the link below worked but you can search in the photo section for pictures of levers.

you got it Joe. go to a real bike shop... not Dicks or Walmart. they will ask if you are running V brakes or Cantilever. tell them you either want a convertable lever that will do both, or whichever has more pull.

Hey everyone, just wanted to bump this thread. My Attex build is comming along quite nicely. Got some pics to post as soon as I get them on a flashdrive. Anyhow, got my throttle pretty much set-up (thanks Brian) and need only to connect the cable to the throttle lever on the engine. I am definatly open for suggestions here if anyone has any advise to offer. Thanks in advance.

        Joe.

you need one of these http://storefront.russellkarting.com...=20&orderQty=1 but order 2, cause you will probably mangle the "EClip" on one of them. to hold the cable housing, steal the piece from a lawn mower. drill a hole for it, and use a 10-32 bolt and nut to secure it
