I am a newbie and I am looking at buying a Attex SuperChief 500 and need some advice. This is a 70s machine and is orange. It drives straight and quick but it does not turn very good to the right. Could there be a chance that the T 20 is going bad or would it be more like adjustment in the steering arms. Thanks in advance

It really could be either. There are several articles here on the site outlining the adjustments of the T-20 (most show a newer style of trans than a 76 SC will have). Worst case, the T-20 can be put back together for under $200 with all new seals and relined bands as long as no major parts need to be replaced. Where are you located? Perhaps there is another member close to you who wouldn't mind taking a look at it with you.A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

I am in Ohio the 6x6 is in Warren Ohio. He told me that he tried to adjust the linkage and made it worse by going the wrong way when adjusting. He said that he would readjust it and get it right. He is about an hour from me. He said when the tracks are on it turns easy but he is running the tires now. This was on the road not grass but it did turn. Is there anything I could check? But if I could rebuild the T 20 for around 200 that is not bad. I did some searching before posting and seen adjusting and so on, it looks like there is a wealth of knowledge here. I am not afraid of a little work but I also didnt want to get in over my head or buy something that could be junk. I seen the checklist on this sight is thee anything else I should look for? Thanks again
