Awesome! It even looks like all of the axles are straight! That cage actually looks pretty cool on it. It would be neat if you could whack a little height of it (my opinion), but it still looks wicked cool. Other than some cracks and holes, it seems like it's mechanically a pretty sound machine. I'll swing by the Army Surplus store sometime-here-soon and pick up a helmet liner. What size is your noggin?

I remember the first time 5 moved under her own power. I took a spin around the yard quick, and tried to wrap my head around the fact that there was another set of axles way back there.

Well it's running! That's pretty impressive.

Spent about 6 hours on the tank today. After degreasing, I removed the JLO and chiseled several cans worth of spray foam insulation out of the lower tub. The cracks and holes under the engine are pretty impressive. Built a mount for a vanguard, and installed the engine that came out of Beths Max. I still need to do all the wiring (luckily it pull starts easily) and get a long enough throttle cable. Also built a makeshift pilot seat for the machine. Backed the machine out of the shop for it's first test drive and broke the RS shift pin. Pulled the diamond shifter and threw it in gear. I was only getting about 1/3 throttle, and the left lateral was hitting the seat preventing it from coming all the way back but I just had to drive it. Tomorrow I will try to get the T-20 adjusted a little better, and see what I can come up with for a throttle cable. I need to get it going a little better and take Wyatt for a ride before he explodes

The Camo really does a good job of hiding all the cracks. The tub is destroyed! It's gonna take a LOT of work to put this one back together. I just pulled the engine and chiseled out the 3 cans of spray foam insulation that was used to "repair" the massive hole under the engine. I think if the frame wasn't there, I could stick my head through the hole... wouldn't that make for a great pic there are cracks all the way under the lower tub. I think the lower will be in 3 pieces once I remove the frame and belly band. I'm going to need to mix up a 55 gallon drum of ABS goo!

The welds on the cage look fairly original, not sure what's going on there. All the pics I've seen have the mounts for a front hoop, but the hoop isn't there... I'll have to do a little more digging on that to figure out what's going on

Everything went pretty well. I get a little nervous whenever I go to get a machine and part of the directions include "End Paved Roads". Transaction went smoothly, seller had a bill of sale printed up when I got there and showed me the notarized bill sale from when he bought the machine. He had it parked up on a dirt embankment when I got there so loading was a breeze.
My GPS got a bad case of the stupids on the way home and sent me through a holler in SE Ohio that I wasn't sure I would make it out of. That resulted in an hour and 45 minute detour to come back out on the main road a mile from where I turned off it. I should have known better, but I was too tired to think at that point and was just doing whatever it told me
Last night, I pulled the floor pan to do a bit more inspections. the floor pan is split in half, and the front section probably hasn't been removed in years. the laterals are frozen in their tubes. once I get it degreased, I'm going to mount a vanguard, fix the one MANGLED sprocket tube, and build a makeshift pilot seat. hopefully I'll make a first test drive sometime tomorrow.
This is going to be a MAJOR project and I have no cash to invest right now, so I might just make it run and play with it for a while. I will start on plastic repairs as that portion of the project will be fairly cheap!

Rolled back in the driveway at 5PM. Tired, smelly, and sore. 29 hours of driving in a 33 hour period is not my idea of a good time, but it was well worth the trip. I left the house at 6am yesterday and loaded the machine at 8:45pm. Once it was in my possession I was fairly wired, so I drove till 3 am. Slept from 3 till 7 in a rest area somewhere between Toledo and Dayton OH, but it had been raining so hard that it was impossible to see signs so I don't know exactly where.

The body is cracked in at least 20 places, the t-20 is thrashed...fill plug sheared off flush with the case, plunger bolts are all the way in, and the sticks move about 8 inches! The clutch side crank seals in the JLO are shot, fuel actually flowed out!

I couldn't be happier
