I looked at that and concluded that he may have had a cigarette

Been awhile since I looked at this thread, real glad to see that MattO and the young upstart have taken renewed interest in this project,as I understand it from reading various posts Matt is hip deep in taking his vision to the next level talking about the Mudd Ox,it is understood that the level of commitment to make a dent or make it anywhere in the manufacturing world today can erode a persons time and desire, this sport would have not even got off the drawing board without people willing to risk it all and then play catch up with their own company, and to lend time to a resto project to a one off piece of AATV history well Kudo,s to you guys.Cheers NCT

Cool pics! Thanks for posting those, I was actually looking for a couple of those. I remember seeing the one (where the Bigfoot is sitting with no wheels or tires and all the junk on it) from that old Attex site. Take a close look at that picture and you'll see a poly Hustler rear seat/engine cover with the factory cargo rack sitting on the deck of the Attex Bigfoot.

Absolutely! Let's make it happen.......I can see this being a perfect machine for another 6X6World bumper sticker photoshoot.

Nice little video Nick. I think it does a great job of showing people this great piece of Attex history and what Matt is up against as a restoration project.

JP, the 13" Argo tracks that the Bigfoot came with as did the other Attexes and Argos from that period are different from the Tru-Trax. I have talked to the gentleman that owns Tru-Trax and his tracks are/were narrower than the ones used by Argo and Attex at that time. What Matt ideally will be looking for is 13 inch wide track links. Some will say nothing on the track link and others will say Argo on the link. Maybe Nick can post a couple pictures of the track links I gave Matt so people know what he is looking for. Also if anyone knows how to contact member L.D.Bruce please let him know Matt is looking for tracks. L.D. had a set of tracks for sale at one time. I have sent a PM to L.D. with no response.

Looks like a very interesting piece to save. I hope with a little help, Matt can find the energy to make it happen. Keith.

Yes Ranger Rick this is the same Attex Bigfoot you seen on ebay about 6 or 7 years ago now. I purchased it from the son of the last owner of Attex. His father had passed away and he was selling off some of the old Attex stuff. I bought the Attex Bigfoot, a Attex Winsue, and a shop press that was in the attex factory. We press our wheel studs into the Mudd-Ox hubs with the press still today!!! I somtimes wonder what it would have been like to go through the Attex factory. I also have a drawing on how to mount a snow plow on a Attex that was in the factory. I have the Attex bigfoot sitting on 16 qty 22x12x8 Goodyear rawhide 3 tires. I am in need of the 13" argo plastic track. That is what Attex used on this machine. It will not drive without tracks as only the front and rear tires have drive chains. The center wheels are not powered. I want to thank Keith for his track donation. If anyone has a set of tracks they would like to sell I would be interested in buying them for this project. I will post some photos as we make progress.

    Matt
