  • New Attex

I haven't been on in awhile, during a lapse in judgement I sold my Max and got a 4 wheeler. I regretted it almost immediately. I just sold the wheeler and got a 1979 Attex Super Chief 500. It has an Arctic Cat (Kawasaki) engine in it. Once I get the pastoral paint job off it, it will be in pretty good shape. I'm going to tinker with it this weekend.

Runs on spray! I will need to at least clean the carburetor and gas tank. Why do people store things with gas in them?

I've seen that machine before- I know it was in pretty good shape just a few years ago. 'Hope the paint comes off easily!
Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

            (6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far

Once you remove that ugly camo paint job, you'll have a very nice looking machine. I have no idea why in the world people want to go and ruin these beautiful machines by painting them.

My theory is that they were once broken down and they had to paint them to hide them from neighbors trying to enforce zoning codes. I feel this is the only logical reason.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

Eric Mentioned that he knew you when I picked it up. Paint never sticks to HDPE very well in my experience. I painted my ABS Max digital camo but the body was thrashed before I fixed it up. I may try to paint the Attex but not like it is now.
