  • Attex ST/300/D "Power Transmission" Questions

I have a few questions regarding the "Power Transmission" in my Attex ST/300/D:

    1. What fluid should I be running in this?

    2. It is hard to shift into/out of gear at times, does something inside it need rebuilt?

    3. Does anyone have a part number for the bearings where it it mounted? (I have attached a picture).

    4. Does anyone know the size the pucks are supposed to be? (I am trying to make some out of brake pads, but don't know how thick it needs to be or what size hole saw I need).

    Thanks for your help!

1- I run regular gear oil in mine. Its just bearings and gears. Im not sure on the weight I use. Just what ever I have, lol.
2- I had a few that where like that. Carefully just wiggle it back and forth. Try spraying pb blaster around the shaft. It is possible that its something corroded inside. Maybe put something like kerosene inside before you pry to hard. The shift fork and shift lever are held on with brass pins so they will break if you force to hard. I had one that broke free and worked good. The other I forced to hard and had to tear it apart to replace the brass pin. It could also be the detent ball/spring under the shift lever.
3- Sorry I dont have a part number and all my transmissions are not here for me to measure up for you.
    4- The pucks are 1.25x.25
