Got a fair amount of time on the Attex build this week. Was able to get the T-20 back together with 2 new drums, relined bands from Transmission Krafters, new DU bushings and 13 tooth gears. I notched the center plate to take the new style thrust washers. Just need to fill and it with fluid and it will be ready to go.

Pulled the engine and got the frame ready to remove.

Pulled the frame and inspected it. It is actually in good shape. I don't see anything that needs repair. Figure I will blast it and powder coat everything and reasemble with new hardware.

    Keith.

Looks fantastic. My Super Chief was set up for the tracks as well as the factory snow plow. Unfortunately the plow and tracks went missing long before I purchased the machine. Mike

Thanks Mike and a big thanks for posting the great pictures of your machine and its cool roll cage in the Attex gallery.

I plan on copying this factory looking design. It is way cool.

          Keith.

Keith, I never thought that the cage was factory built, but it is designed to work with the factory windshield. I can tell you that the cage works. I rolled the Attex over back wards going very slow up a big pile of leaves on a hill. I was able to stay inside the cage even without seat belts, and walked away unharmed.

Mike even if it's not factory whoever designed it was spot on in my opinion. The lines seem near perfect. And if you say it worked, all the better.

Thanks again for the pictures and details.

              Keith.

Frame and parts are back from powder coating. The frame looks really good and my powder coater said it was the most complicated thing he has ever had to do.

I have new bearings, Diamond chain and Dayco belt standing by for the reassembly then back into the cleaned up tub.

Sort of don't like the idea of non-greasable inner bearings. The frame seems to have holes in it to access zerks. Might need to look into a solution for that before I put it all back together. Think I will pull the shields off the Chaparral for powder coating and switch it over to electronic ignition before it goes back in.

                Keith.
