moving ahead on the '79 sc 500. the primary cutch is in pretty bad shape, suggestions? also need all new chains, how many feet of #50 is there on this beasty? and does it matter if the fuel pump is the square type or does it haveto be the stock round type? also looking at tires ........

If you need a clutch, you can put an ad in the wanted section of the forum- usually somebody has what you need. It'll take about 25 feet of #50 chain for the SC, and as long as the fuel pump produces enough to feed the engine, it'll be fine.

Attex Grounding Strap
frame done,tranny opened,cleaned,re-sealed..engine opened,cleaned,inspected and re assembled with new gaskets and all, installed and ready to fire....but no fire. no spark. suspect points/condenser,coils,wires,timing..anything else? where does the big fat grounding strap attatch to ?cant remember..choke cable is messed up...seems like the housing is too long, choke wont operate properly...its the little things that really get ya..grrComment

working on a '78? superchief...G50b..could be a ground problem, not 100% ive got the timing/points set correctly, need to double check that. couldnt remember exactly where i took the strap off...too many gray hairs..Comment
