  • Participating in a 6x6 journey somewhere in the USA?

Hi, I've had a a MAX II for a few months now, and it's a great machine!
Here in Norway any kind of motorised outdoor activity is outlawed, so whatever I do with the 6x6 is illegal and open to punishment in the range of about $1500.
Is it possible to join a 6x6 or 8x8 trip somewhere in the USA by renting the vehicle and joining a local club or something?

Maybe someone would rent you one, but if you let us know you are coming to a ride I am sure there is a spot for you with one of us and someone would let you get some stick time too.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

I suggest following the threads for Busco rdes There are a few of us that bring an extra machine for our friends or newbies that want to go out and have a fun time. Just post your interest when they set a date for a ride. usually Mike sets the date well enough in advance for everyone to set their vacation schedules.

If you ever want to come check out Mud National in east Texas there is a pretty good size group that attend that event and we usually bring extra machines to that ride also...you'd be welcome to jump in with us...also we try to ride out in the deep snow in the mountains of Wyoming a couple times each winter and we have been starting to get a good size group together and have had new friends come jump in with us there also

Watch the readers rides and events and most people here would love to have more friends to ride with

        Take care

Norway sounds like New York. Basically everywhere I ride is technically "not allowed". IDK what the fines are. You probably need to find private land to ride but if even that is not allowed..... Well, then look for the Busco ride and other large events posted here.

Hi, and thank you for the friendly responses. I will watch the forum and try to syncronise my vacation with some of the events.
I do drive here in Norway too. On privat land where the owners have a relaxed relationship to rules, and like to have their chainsaws, tractors... fixed
at no cost! But there are no one else here with a 6x6, and driving alone on the same spot is not the same.
You do seem to have a good time and a lot of fun at these events!

Hi, I've been looking at the sites for the Badlands Off Road Park, Indiana and Busco Beach in North Carolina, Mud Nationale in Texas, and I must say that I envy you having these oportunities to drive offroad.
I have been 6 trips to the USA, 3 for work, and 3 for pleasure. All have been to western states. (California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana)
A wonderful country with friendly people, and my first choice for vacation, although I can't afford to go there every year. The west has been great, but I can see that the eastern states also have some attractions. I love the fact that everything is not illegal, as it is in Norway.
