HELP......insurance needed

I am having a hard time trying to get insurance on my 1981 Hustler. My farmers agent says he has not found anyone that will take this on..Any ideas out there for me. I wanted full coverage but I will now settle for liability........Thanks in advance.

Insurance? I think you will be hard pressed to find anyone willing to insure an '81 amphib of any make. Why do you need it?

I've insured my 1975 and 1981 Attexes with Allstate. I insured the 1975 Attex very easily about 4 years ago. About two years ago I had a harder time with the 1981. My agent had to call in personally to fight the battle. It was more a problem of the VIN not having enough digits than them not wanting to insure it.. They eventually got the computer to take the VIN.

I did not tell them it was an amphib. Seems to me that would open a whole new can of worms.

I use it for hunting most of the time. I would like to have the piece of mind to know that I am covered if something were to happen.

a subsidary of farmers is foremost and thats who i use..your farmers agent should have told you that.

My agent said he talked with foremost and they said they would not cover it......He is going to try again tomorrow.

have you tried progressive, seems they insure about everything

State Farm will do my max but had to find the name of manufacture in there book. I just tell people that are having trouble with theVIN to fill the remaining spaces with zeros to get all 17 entry's.

Try Gulf Coast Insurance in Florida. They started their business by insuring race cars, and they'll basically insure anything. When I had to get my duece and a half insured, they were the only ones that would do it, without it being stored inside a garage.
