whatever you do don't get a warn i went through 3 in a year in a half. there not sealed unless you get a 3,000 or bigger which is expensive they payout under a load they have plastic gears and they last me about 6 months. everybody i know that has a warn winch has broken. i bought a venom winch off ebay worked good till the Celenoid messed up. check them out there cheap and work ok besides the Celenoid. i got a superwinch on my new argo now never had one before but have heard they are good.

i have had a super winch and pulled the housing apart . i'm ordeing 2 mile markers from 4 wheel parts , about $144 for a 2500 and a 3 is $ 178 not bad after alll the humvee's have mm .1999 max 2 18 b&s 22 tires custom . new max iv 23 k 26 i/n tires brown . ht cable promark winch . new toy 1972 attex st400 400ccjlo and she will be bad . ( the frog )
if it don't float with out you getting wet . don't bring it !

Martin, you can find Champion and oter brands at Princess auto; there is one in Ottawa. Canadian Tire puts SuperWinch and sometimes Champion on sale a couple of times a year. Also, Costco used to carry the Champions.
I have a 2500Lbs on my Bigfoot and have had to use it a couple of times when I got stuck in snow over 6' deep on a incline. Them supertracks work well,but once they dig you in you're in deep.
