Speeds of different AATV models

JP had a good suggestion on another thread of listing the top speeds of the different models of AATVs that we own, so here's the start of a new thread with the models that I've timed lately.

Attex Tomahawk-Tecumseh OH160: 20.1 mph
Attex Wild Wolf- JLO 295: 29.9 mph
Attex Chief- JLO 400: 37.8 mph
Attex Li'ltruck- Cuyuna 440: 39.8 mph

I'd be interested to see the speeds of the machines I've seen blasting around in some of the videos.

It is impressive to see that kind of speed from relatively small displacement engines

I reached 42 mph once in my Chief. I built up a head of steam coming down a shallow grade. I managed to keep it at 42 for a 100 or so yards before common sense took hold of me and I slowed down.

Since that time I've only managed high 38-39 mph. The GPS might have been flakey that one time.

That was with the stock JLO 400 (cc) pushing.

My Attex has a kec 440, with a little work done. As I posted else where with a good run, 43 was it. Hoping with all the mods to get a safer and faster ride.

The D/Stock's been certified at 47 mph with George's GPS. The 503 is still in question. Not a whole lot faster than the D/stock, though.... 50? 55? ...in that ballpark.

my max2 with a 25hp kohler command was clocked at 34mph i think i can get a little more out of it if i put some air in the tires though that day the 2 center tires were flat and the other 4 were at 1 psi!

I've done 24 in my Max IV without the governor mod. I'll have to try again with some more RPMS.

MY Max II hit 42.5 but I had to let off. It should do 50. Maybe at the Ledges.

What do we win for the fastest? Don ?
